Cyberwip provides a technical blog where visitors may read articles and optionally post comments or responses to those articles. Cyberwip may also allow visitors to register to join various groups or events, including a mailing list from which users can be notified of new articles, upcoming events, or responses to statements or questions posted on the website. Registration and participation are not a requirement for visitors to Cyberwip, users may remain totally anonymous while visiting the site.
Information Collection
In most cases, no personal information is collected of visitors to Cyberwip. Cyberwip only collects the information you choose to provide, and we process it with your consent only for the purpose as intended by you. In most cases, only a name and email address are required and that information is stored in a secure database on this server and a backup archive within the data center. No personal data is ever shared with outside services for any reason other than under legal obligation.
IP addresses may be used for geo-location to track traffic by region and page view counts to determine popularity, but no attempt is made to associate the individual’s identity associated with using that IP address.
When contacting Cyberwip using the Contact Form your name and either a phone number or email address must be given so that we can respond. You are also asked for a name and email when posting comments for the same reason.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it and an image is available.
The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy/.
After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
No financial or personally sensitive data is ever stored on this server; all financial transactions are done via SSL with Certified Payment Processors.
Uploads (shared media)
If you upload images to the website, you may wish to avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website which may disclose your location.
Cookies
Cyberwip uses cookies to improve our quality-of-service as outlined in our Cookie Policy.
